SURFACE VISIONS FAQ & HELP

How are your prints made?

All Surface Vision prints are printed to the highest industry quality by a fine art printer using fully archival RGB profile 12 color pigmented ink printed on Premium Luster Paper. More details on the prints and frames can be found in the Specs page.

What is an edition?

An edition is a limited run of a specific piece of artwork. Because Surface Visions has versions of each art piece in four different sizes, each size will be considered a separate Edition.  For example, an edition of 100 means that only 100 examples of that work will be printed in each size – ever. If you own edition 2/100 of a 16"x16" print then you own the second editioned piece of that print run at that size. Once an edition is closed, no further prints will be made of it at that size.

How do I know my print is authentic?

All prints are accompanied by a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity to maintain the integrity of your print.

Each Certificate of Authenticity is compliant with California Civil Code §1744 which regulates and requires Full Disclosure in the Sale of Fine Prints.

More details on the prints and frames can be found in the Specs page.

How do I care for my print?

All framed art should be sufficient to protect the print from being touched.  For longevity of the print, do not expose or mount the image in direct sunlight and avoid placing it in environments with high humidity or moisture in the air such as bathrooms or kitchens.

Avoid touching the surface of your print. Oils can be transferred to the print from your hands and rough treatment can scratch the surface and harm the pigment.  We recommend that you frame your print as soon as possible as this will help to protect the work once it is on display if it is not ordered with a frame.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping Domestic

Framed prints are shipped via Ground Shipping. Shipping choices will be displayed upon checkout.

Framed prints are shipped in a bespoke double-wall cardboard box.  The box is lined with foam padding.  Extra protection for the frame and glazing is insured by applying foam spacers.  Foam corner tabs are used to reinforce and protect the frame's corners.  Finally, a final wrap of bubble packing and taped keep it all together before inserting into the bespoke double-wall cardboard box for shipping.

Non-framed, print only orders are shipped wrapped in paper with cardboard pads front and back and placed in a rigid cardboard envelope for shipping.

How long will it take to receive my print?

Unframed prints arrive in approximately 1 - 2 weeks. Framed prints arrive in approximately 2 - 3 weeks. Please note that all prints are made-to-order and we do not stock inventory. We print orders at the beginning of work week for orders from the preceding week. Once your print is made by our printer, it must be allowed to dry for 24 hours before being framed then shipped to you.

Shipping International

We do ship unframed prints internationally via UPS. Please allow an extra week for delivery. Unfortunately, because of the high shipping cost we do not ship framed prints internationally at this time.
